THIS LISTING: 50 X Lavender chamomile and sage dog biscuit. This flavour is of particular benefit to deep chested dog breeds such as dobermans and greyhounds and most dogs weighing over 90/95lbs. It is also beneficial to dogs who gulp down their foods quickly as the ingredients added to this recipe are designed to limit the amount of gas that can build up inside your dog. Gastric dilation volvulus (GVD) is a life threatening disorder mostly commonly seen in deep chested dog breeds although any dog may be affected. In its early stage the stomach fills with gas causing a simple gastric dilation, more commonly known as bloat. Sometimes the condition progresses no further than a bloat. A GDV However is a progression of the bloat into a volvas in which the whole gas filled stomach twists upon itself so that the exit and the entrance of the stomach become blocked. This then becomes a life threatening emergency that requires surgery to correct. The causes of GDV ads still unknown, seen mostly in the male species of deep chested dogs. It is recommended that you NOT exercise your dog after the injection of their main meals or after drinking large amount of water as this can be a contributing factor. Other factors have been suggested by studies currently being carried out, these are stress and anxiety. Recent studies show a marked decrease of GDV in dogs that  were relaxed and calm, as opposed to dogs who were hyper of fearful, these studies are still in the early stages. Illnesses that decrease intestinal motions can also lead to stomach dilation and subsequently Volvous. Is GDV Serious in dogs, yes it is, this is probably one of the most serious non-traumatic condition seen in dogs, immediate veterinarian attention within minutes and not hours is required to save a dogs life. Statistically predisposed breeds susceptible to GDV are Great Danes, Saint Bernards, Weimaraner, Irish setters, old English sheep dogs. It mist be noted that studies also indicate that dachshunds and shitzu dogs were noted to be on the at danger list too. Additional facts regarding GDV, Dogs weighing over 100 pounds have approximately a 20% risk of bloating during their lifetime. Gastric dilation bloat usually without the volvus twist an occasionally occur in small elderly dogs. The distended stomach pushes the posterior rib cage so that the dog appears swollen or bloated, this is the most common on the left side of your dog. Gentle tapping of the swelling just behind the last rib often produces hollow drum-like sounds. The enlarged stomach presses on the diaphragm and breathing becomes laboured. The swollen stomach also presses on the larger of your dogs blood vessels in the abdomen and circulation is seriously compromised resulting in systemic shock. Ultimately your dog collapses and the distended abdomen becomes readily apparent as your dog lies on its side. Factors that increase your dogs bloating are feeding only one meal per day, having a family history of bloating. A dog being underweight, dogs with an anxious or nervous disposition and dogs showing outward aggression to other dogs are all tell tale signs your dog may have GDV.

I always make my allergy customers my first bake so there is no cross ❎contamination.

Most of the herbs I use are common garden herbs, mint being the most common herb I add without advertising it, Fresh mint gives your dogs a nicer smelling breath as well as having properties that lower the gas emissions of your dog. I have greyhounds and every other step on and off my sofa or bed is accompanied by a noisy foul smelling pump. Separately I have a listing for this with heaps of mint and other herbs. 

GRAIN FREE: is my investment of my time and experience in making, blending and milling my own grain free flours. Currently I’m milling 15 of my own including Green banana flour, red lentil flour, beetroot flour, barley flour, spinach flour, arrowroot flour, polenta, coconut flour, potato starch flour, and many more. Certain flours I use with certain ingredients some flours absorb ingredients better than others while some flours cook better at a lower setting for soft bake biscuits for puppies and older dogs while some flours are totally unsuitable for diabetic dog biscuits and others work well with the roots/herb/spiced biscuits. I’ve been a baker man and boy for almost 46 years now. FRESH BAKED: All of my biscuits are baked fresh to order. I neither hold or carry any stock. Any biscuits I bake extra each evening are save to the end of the week and are donated to one of the many charities I support.
