Feeding & Storage

We often treat our pets as byway of an expression of our love for them, but this can also be a critical component in training dogs and in reinforcing and rewarding good behavior.

Ideally, you should offer your dog a treat in between meals, because if you are using treats as a training aid, it won’t be as effective right after your dog has had a full meal.

It is perfectly acceptable to feed your dog several treats a day from the Canine Organics range. All our biscuits and treats are designed with the health-conscious pet owner in mind and do not contain ingredients that would contribute to significant weight gain. However, these should not be substituted for a balanced diet and ideally, treats should make up no more than 10% of your pet’s daily calorie intake. Included in our menu is a range of low calorie and low fat biscuits specifically for dogs who either have been out Ona restricted diet by their veterinarian or by overly concerned doggy parents. Our lowest fat content biscuits has an overall content of 0.0778grams per biscuit.

Please make sure your pet always has plenty of freshwater available.

Storage

Our biscuits and treats contain no additives or preservatives to artificially prolong their shelf life, but as they are slowly oven-baked to remove moisture and only contain dry ingredients, they have a shelf life of up to 2 months but can be frozen to last 4 months.  However, we do recommend you store our biscuits in an airtight container in a cool place away from direct sunlight.

Allergy advice

Dogs with gluten intolerance or allergy to wheat should have their humans contact us to see which treatment will suit them.

Please be aware that some of our recipes contain nuts and all our biscuits have been prepared in a kitchen where nuts and other food allergens are prepared.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us.
